Homeowner Grant Program
Our Homeowner Grant Program is designed to support homeowners who are experiencing financial hardship and need immediate assistance to maintain their home. This program provides grants that do not need to be repaid, covering expenses such as overdue mortgage payments, utility bills, or essential home repairs. By offering these grants, we aim to help families regain financial stability.
How To Qualify For Grant
- Must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident.
- Must own and occupy the property as their primary residence.
- Household income must fall below a certain percentage of the area median income (AMI), often set by federal, state, or local guidelines.
- The property must be a single-family home
- Must have current homeowner's insurance on the property.
- The property should be in need of repairs or maintenance that directly affects the homeowner’s safety or living conditions, if applying for repair-related assistance.
- Must not be in an active bankruptcy proceeding, or if in bankruptcy, must have the court’s approval to receive assistance.
- Must disclose if they have received or applied for other grants or financial assistance and provide details on their status.
- Must provide necessary documentation such as proof of income, proof of property ownership, recent mortgage statements, and proof of insurance.
- Must comply with all legal and regulatory requirements related to the grant program, including any reporting or documentation requirements.
- The homeowner must demonstrate that they live in the property as their primary residence, with exceptions for certain types of grants that might assist landlords or rental properties.
- Must complete and submit a grant application and provide all required documentation for verification.
